Where it all began: Angelus Plaza,

Downtown Los Angeles

Angelus Plaza is the original CCS project. The largest subsidized community for senior living in the United States relies on CCS to keep more than 1,000 seniors connected to loved ones, while enjoying all of the benefits of high-speed, low-cost broadband wifi.

The Challenge:

With more than 1,000 residents, many of whom do not speak English as their first language, Angelus Plaza in downtown Los Angeles is a mammoth facility with extraordinary needs when it comes to managed WiFi. In 2017, Angelus Plaza owners and operators Residential Housing Federation, or RHF, approached CCS with a bold plan: Could we wire the entire property to provide seamless WiFi to residents, at an affordable price point.

The Solution:

After conducting site surveys, CCS brought in its core team to wire the entire property for seamless wireless connectivity. We recalibrated Angelus Plaza’s four communications towers to serve as WiFi broadcasters for the building. Now, each tenant enjoys a personalized WiFi network in their unit, with continual managed WiFi provided throughout the common areas.

The Benefits:

  • Seniors can stay connected to loved ones, and vice-versa, 24-7, 365.

  • Tenants enjoy broadband WiFi for just $27 a month, far less than market competitors.

  • CCS provides the property with white glove customer service.

The Outcome:

RHF was so happy with our installation at Angelus Plaza that the company has chosen us to provide internet services at an additional 17 buildings across the country over the past nine years. As RHF continues to expand its portfolio, CCS has been right there alongside, rolling out our peerless WiFi solutions.

A Challenging New-Build: The Arden

Alexandria, Virginia

Located in beautiful Alexandria, Virginia, The Arden was one of CCS’s first for-profit affordable housing projects. A residential multifamily community consisting of more than 130 apartments, The Arden was also one of the first new construction projects CCS built out.

The Challenge:

When CCS first became involved in The Arden, the project was nearing the final stages of construction. We worked with the developers and construction team to design and build out a bespoke managed WiFi network for this affordable housing community, a remit that was as challenging as it was rewarding. We worked with the existing cabling vendor to ensure we could utilize the data cabling that had already been put in place and in coordination with the vendor, general contractor and building management, we designed and built out a building-wide ISP.

The Solution:

From the get-go, CCS worked with the construction managers of The Arden to ensure our network wiring was installed on-time, correctly, and with as little disruption as possible to the ongoing building work. We hired local contractors and technicians to see the project through as efficiently and economically as possible.

The Benefits:

  • Lower-income tenants receive high-speed WiFi completely FREE thanks to federal and state subsidies.

  • CCS worked with an ISP to create a seamless WiFi network throughout the property.

  • CCS provides white glove customer service.

The Outcome:

Who doesn’t love free internet? The Arden is able to draw in new tenants whenever a unit becomes available, thanks partly to the no-cost connectivity CCS helped design and implement. Because our team delivered on-time, on-budget and to the highest quality standards, the property managers of the project have since approached us to develop our broadband at new buildings they are putting up.
